It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Peggy Jones Davis who entered into rest July 15, 2021.

She was born July 1, 1947 to Calvin Jones and the late Lillie Jones. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and grandmother.

Peggy maintained her Christian faith throughout her life, beginning her Christian fellowship at Carpentersville Baptist Church, North Augusta, SC and ending her Christian journey at Stubbs Chapel Baptist Church, Macon, GA.

Her memory is cherished by her husband, John Davis; son, Calvin Norris (Mbinya); daughter, Dorothy Jimenez (Daniel); her father, Calvin Jones, Sr.; sisters, Carolyn Yvonne Mills (George), Barbara Castleberry, Elizabeth Jones, Cynthia Neal, Renata Walker (Guy); brothers, Carl Jones (Clara), Glen Jones, Darryl Jones; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her beloved 1965 classmates of Jefferson High School.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, July 31, 2021 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Herman Bing officiating. Mask and Social Distancing will be observed.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Hadlow Hospice Staff in Jacksonville, FL for the compassionate care that was given.
