With deepest and heartfelt sympathy, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mr. Rashod Boyd who entered into rest June 27, 2026.

Rashod, also known as Joseph, was blessed with this name by his sister Tyler. Joseph attended North Augusta High School where he made many friends. After a few challenges, Joseph began moving in a positive direction. He worked with Pactiv in Beech Island. Joseph was a caring, loving individual who always said “I love you” when entering and leaving a room. He was a young man who always put family and friends first. He loved and believed in God. Joseph’s kind soul whose time on this earth was shortened unexpectedly has made a lasting impact on many. He will truly be missed.

Survivors include his parents, Nelson and Helaine Curry, Yaritizi Boyd and Sherrod Whiteside; brothers, Brandon (Jessalynn) Young, Andrew (Maryissa) Young, Sherrod (Tyasis) Boyd, Devin Marshall, Kevin Marshall, Messiah Whiteside and Tarhaji Whiteside; sisters, Tyler (David) Bryd, Aliana Whiteside, Thalina Boyd, Mariah Marshall, Shy’Ashjah Walker, Shontrice Walker and Rasyiah Whiteside. Joseph was a very proud uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, July 6, 2026 at Mims Grove Baptist Church where the Rev. Larry Carter is the pastor and the Rev. Daviad Mitchem eulogist. Viewing will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, July 3, 2026 at the funeral home.
