It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Ray R. "Pumkin" Garrett who entered into rest November 16, 2022.

Mr. Garrett was a 1987 graduate of Midland Valley High School. He was baptized at Mims Grove Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.. He was an Electrician.

Survivors include his mother, Charlotte Broadwater Garrett; his wife, Kandi Koss Garrett; a son, Jovi; stepchildren, Diamond, Rachael and Dylan; two brothers, Freddie (Phyllis) Broadwater and James Dawarne (Angela Godbee) Garrett; mother-in-law, Regina Koss; a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, November 26, 2022 in Poplar Spring Baptist Church Cemetery with Minister Deloris McKevie officiating. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held Friday from 2-5:30 pm at the funeral home.
