It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Raymond E. Gordon, Jr. who entered into rest February 19, 2024.

Mr. Gordon was a native of Edgefield County and was baptized at Pleasant Lane Baptist Church.

Survivors include seven daughters, Demitrice N. Rouse, Terika Rouse, Martine Mealing, Bridgette Rouse, Dominique Rouse, Tamara Gordon and Shamoria Gordon; three sons, Miles Draper Mealing, Jamiyah Harrison and Emmanuel Gordon; his father, Raymond Elliott Gordon, Sr., three sisters, Sonya Gordon, Audrey Gordon and Tracey (Sammie) Mathis; three brothers, Rev. Anthony (Vernita) Gordon, Travis (Toyna) Gordon and Leo (Althea) Strom; twenty-three grandchildren, three great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Willow Spring Baptist Church with the Rev. Anthony Gordon officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Lane Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.
