With heavy hearts, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mr. Richard D. McManus who entered into rest February 19, 2026.

Mr. McManus was a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and resided in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Survivors include five aunts, Doris Freeman, Cornelia McManus, Reba Dixon, Juanita Robins and Cassandra McManus; one uncle, Gilmore McManus; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Willow Spring Baptist Church with Pastor Lonnie Jackson of Jesus Christ Tabernacle (Aiken) officiating. Viewing will be held from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
