It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Richardene McKie Baskett Johnson who entered into rest October 25, 2022.

Mrs. Johnson was a 1974 graduate of North Augusta High School and a member of Mealing Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was a Customer Service Representative for the North Augusta Star.

Survivors include her husband, David Johnson; two sons, Lafayette (Patrice) Baskett and Taurean Baskett; her mother, Reva McKie; a sister, Charlene (Roy) Fielding; a granddaughter, Latoria A. Baskett; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in Mealing Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Joseph Harris officiating. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
