With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Mr. Ricky Holmes who entered into rest January 8, 2025.

Mr. Holmes was a native of Edgefield County.

Survivors include his father, Richard Hartley Sr.; stepmother, Marian Hartley both of Edgefield SC;  brother,  Richard Hartley Jr. of Waynesboro GA; sisters, Doresa Hartley and Teresa Hartley both of Edgefield SC;  uncles, Ernest Martin, William Hartley,  Johnny (Georgetta) Hartley,  Curtis (Vanessa) Hartley all of Edgefield SC and Silas Hartley of Saluda SC; aunts, Bertha Serles and Shirley Hartley both of Edgefield SC, Brenda(Jandan) Pough of Atlanta GA; nephew, Kordell (Rekida) Holmes of Augusta GA; a host of aunts, uncles,  cousins, nephews, nieces,  family and friends.

Services will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow in Republican Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the hour of service on Tuesday.
