She became a biology teacher at Vienna High and Industrial School in Vienna, Georgia. Her next teaching position was a West Point High School in West Point, Georgia.

In 1963 she married Daniel Bernard Noble in Columbus, Georgia. After marriage, she taught biology at Carver High School in Columbus, Georgia. While teaching at Rutger's, she pursued and received another master's degree in Physiology in 1974. In 1974 - 1980, she held the following positions at Fairleigh Dickerson University in Madison, NJ: Visiting Assistant Professor of Microbiology for Allied Health majors, Instructor and Assistant Professor of the Department of Biology and Health Sciences. From 1976 – 1993, she was the Director of the Science Enrichment Program at Upsala College working with teachers and guidance counselors and preparing middle and high school students for careers in medicine and the sciences. In the summers of 1983 – 1987 she was the Assistant Professor at Montclair State University and the Director of the Health Careers Program from 1979-1995.vFrom 1995 - 2006, she was the Associate Dean of Special Academy Programs and Associate Professor of Cellular Biology and Anatomy.

She belonged to several professional organizations, including the Kappa Upsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Aiken, SC. She wrote articles for several professional magazines and published papers for other organizations.

In her later years, she became a Lay Eucharistic Minister of the Church of the Holy Comforter.
