It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Russell "Billy" Small who entered into rest July 27, 2023.

Mr. Small was a 1966 graduate of Schofield High School and was employed by Owens-Corning Fiberglass/Agy Aiken LLC. He was a member of Runs Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Gertrude Morris Small; a daughter, Mosi Small; two sons, Hamani Small and N'Namdi Small; stepfather, John Edwards, Sr.; nine sisters, Mary (Benjamin) Mims, Shirley Edwards, Elizabeth Blocker, Carol Edwards, Vivian Edwards, Patricia Williamson, Edith (Albert) Hughes, Jeannie (John) Smith and Joanne (Donald) Moody; four brothers, Willie Danny Danforth, Henry Smalls, Jr., Clyde (Clentoria) Edwards and Lindsey Edwards; three grandchildren, Julian , Ananda and Malia Small; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Runs Missionary Baptist Church of which the Rev. Stevie W. Berry pastor and Bishop Hezekiah Pressley eulogist. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
