Obituary

With heartfelt sympathy, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mr. Ryson Carter, Jr. who entered into rest January 19, 2026.

Mr. Carter, a native of Aiken County, was a member of Mt. Anna Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Carter; two daughters, LaShon M. (John) Turner-Long and Latina S. (Eric) Carter-Jordan; three sons, Courtney S. Collins, Reginald Collins and Ryson Carter III; four sisters, Brenda Holloman, Leona (Tony) Baldwin, Betty (William) Haskins and Vivian (Johnny) Walker; three brothers, Thomas Adams, Donald Adams and Michael Adams; 11 grandchildren; a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Mt. Anna Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
