It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Sadie Mae Sutton Callair who entered into rest May 29, 2023.

Mrs. Callair was a 1958 graduate of Oglethorpe County Training School. She was a Supervisor for Gold Kist, Inc. She was a member of Thankful Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly Callair; two stepsons, Kevin Earl Callair and Lawrence Michael Callair; five sisters, Phillis (Raymond) Winfrey, Renee Sutton, Gwen Sutton, Verona (Charles) Dunn and Karen Bailey; three brothers, Harold (Irene) Heard, Fredrick Sutton and Chester (Cherie) Sutton, Jr.; three step grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Monday, June 5, 2023 at Thankful Grove Baptist Church, 2026 Lexington-Carlton Road, Carlton, GA with the Rev. M. W. Gresham officiating. Viewing will be held from 6-8 pm Sunday at Canaan of Galilee Baptist Church, Appling, GA.
