With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Mr. Samuel Houston who entered into rest January 13, 2025.

Mr. Houston, a native of McCormick County was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son Torrain Houston; stepchildren, Teresa Griffin, Kelvin (Tami) Griffin and Wayne Griffin; four sisters, Flossie (John Prescott) Lamkin, Nancy (George) White, Helen Houston and Roberta Houston; three brothers, Thelmon Houston, Sylvester Houston, Eugene (Valeria) Houston; half brothers, Robert Gilyard and Steven Gilyard; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Bethany Baptist Church with the Rev. Russell Brisco officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2 pm until 5;30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
