It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announced the transition of Ms. Selma Morgan Eatmon who entered into rest June 19, 2025.

Ms. Eatmon, a native of Edgefield County was a 1962 graduate of Edgefield County Colored High School and Voorhees College where she earned a Bachelor's Degree. She was an Administrative Secretary for Howard University. She was a member of The Isle of Patmos Baptist Church, Washington, DC.

Survivors include a brother, Orlando Morgan, Jr.; a niece, Annette M. Collins; two great nephews, Tonio L. Collins and Paul V. Collins; The Jefferson Family and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday, June 26, 2025 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel, Edgefield with Gerald Jefferson officiating. Interment will follow in Simmon Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
