It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Ms. Shawnta Ross who entered into rest January 21, 2022.

Ms. Ross was the daughter of Leroy Ross, Sr. and the late Mary Catherine Ross. She was a 1996 graduate of Aiken Academy. She attended Benedict College in Columbia, SC and Paine College in Augusta, GA.

She was a devoted mother, sister, and friend. She devoted her life to Christ on October 20, 1990 at Valley Fair Baptist Church in Graniteville, SC. She was gainfully employed throughout Aiken County.

She was raised in the home of her aunt Linda and her uncle, the late Rev., Dr., Ronald Coleman and their children, Julia Coleman and the late Marc Coleman.

She was preceded in death by her mother; a brother, Jeremy White and a sister, Laurice Ross.

She leaves to mourn a loving daughter, Aleeyah Ross; a special friend, Cameron Raiford; her father, Leroy Ross, Sr.; her maternal grandmother, Rosa Jackson; two brothers, Leroy Ross, Jr. and James Brian Ross; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Bettis Academy Memorial Park. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.
