With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Mrs. Sophia M. Rouse who entered into rest July 28, 2025.

Mrs. Rouse, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Republican Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Pete Rouse of the home; two sons, Phillip Rouse (Kesler Holloway) of Edgefield, SC and Tyrone Rouse(Jessica Webber) of Rock Hill, SC; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; bonus daughter, Irene Williams; bonus grandchildren, Aranicka Jackson and De'Janai Brooks; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Republican Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie Patten, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.
