It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Ms. Tamekka L. Adams who entered into rest September 9, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Bamberg county on March 16, 1977, she was the daughter of Ms. Dora Adams. Tamekka grew up in Columbia, SC and Aiken, SC
Tamekka's ability to develop meaningful relationships with everyone she met was the definition of her beautiful spirit.
Her strong will, fiery spirit, and refusal to give up were an inspiration to all blessed and fortunate enough to know her. Tamekka truly lived a life of servitude to all she met.
She was preceded in death by one son, Brandon Antuan Armstrong.
Tamekka is survived by her fiancé Bernard Woodward; three sons, Jonathan Adams, Jamarquez Adams, and Demetris Armstrong; one daughter, Errin Woodward; one granddaughter, Ja'Riyah Nathan; three brothers, Chinem Abebe, Emmanuel Abebe (Katisha Colvin), and Unula (Booshawn) Abebe; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Tamekka leaves behind many longtime and childhood friends who have remained devoted to their friendship. Tamekka is loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, September 16, 2022 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Aaron Woodward officiating.
Professional Services are under the care of G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary-Aiken.
