G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Ms. Thelma McKie Jefferson who entered into rest December 2, 2025.

Ms. Jefferson, a native of Edgefield County was a member of Old Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. where she served on the Senior Choir.

Survivors include two daughters, Deloris Jefferson and Antoinette (Hexter) Meriwether; six sons, Ronnie Jefferson, Curtis (Sylvia) Jefferson, James (Deneice) Jefferson, Eric Mims, Alvin Jefferson and Michael (Tonisha) Jefferson; daughter-in-law, Leslie Jefferson; two sisters, Betty (Moses) Myers and Justine Jones; a devoted great nephew, Mortrez Griffin; sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 pm Monday, December 8, 2025 at Old Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where the Rev. Dr. Leonard O. Griffin is the Senior Pastor and the Rev. Limuer Myers, Pastor Emeritus, eulogist. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
