With deepest and heartfelt sympathy, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mr. Travernt S. Gilyard who entered into rest April 1, 2026.

Mr. Gilyard was a graduate of McCormick High School. He was employed with Lowes Home Improvement.

Survivors include a son, Kayden Curry; his mother, Gloria Ann Gilyard; a sister, Takiyah Gilyard; a brother, Chadwick Gilyard; a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Laura Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Laura Grove Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
