With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of TSGT (Ret.) Marion L. Gardenhire who entered into rest December 21, 2024.

TSGT (Ret.) Gardenhire was a native of Richmond County and a 1970 graduate of Lucy C. Laney High School. He retired from the United States Air force and was a member of First Providence Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mamie L. Blocker Gardenhire; a daughter, Desiree' J. Gardenhire; two sons, Walter T. (Kelly) Gardenhire and Aaron E. (Anika) Gardenhire; a sister, Lori Hardy; a brother, Mark Hardy; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday, December 30, 2024 at Springfield Baptist Church, Trenton, SC. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 1 pm until 4 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
