Valerie Lucille Widner

With deepest and profound sympathy, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mrs. Valerie L. Widner who entered into rest October 25, 2026. 

Mrs. Widner, a native of Blythe, GA, was a 1969 graduate of Lucy C. Laney Comprehensive High School. She was a member of Good Shephard Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Willie Widner; a daughter, Gala Johnson; two sons, Marquette Widner and Marcus (Kimberly) Widner; two brothers, Larry White and Luther White, Jr.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 30, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
