It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Verdell Gardenhire Sullivan who entered into rest January 29, 2024 at MUSC-Orangeburg.

Mrs. Sullivan was a native of McCormick County and a member of Laura Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Gloria Bristow, Ann (Raphael) Howell and Tina (Jerome) Anderson; three sons, Archie (Annie Ruth) Sullivan, Marvin (Natalie) Sullivan and Kenneth Wayne Sullivan; a brother, Willie (Mary) Gardenhire; twenty-three grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Laura Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. A. J. Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in Laura Grove Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held from 2 pm to 5;30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
