With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Mr. Vernon Devon Gilchrist, Sr. who entered into rest on November 20, 2024.

Mr. Gilchrist, a native of Richmond County, was 2003 graduate of Glenn Hills High School.

Survivors include two sons, Vernon Devon Gilchrist, Jr. and Verion Gilchrist; his parents, Pauline Harrison and Vernon (Vanessa) Gilchrist; a brother, Chancey Gilchrist; sister, Shakika Gilchrist; chosen brother and sister, Teswon Gilstrap and Vanity (Michael) Andis; devoted friend, Tareasha Davis; host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Old Storm Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Lorenzo Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30PM Friday at the funeral home.
