It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. William R. McKinley Young who entered into rest October 28, 2022.

Mr. Young was a 1966 graduate of Lucy C. Laney High School and he attended Paine College. He was a United States Army Veteran and worked for the United States Postal Service. He was baptized at Jerusalem Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Dent Young; a son, Barry C. Young; two grandchildren, Amber B. Young and Braden E. Young; brothers-in-law, William G. Dent, James Shoultz and Earnest Williams, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Ruthenia Shoultz and Barbara Miller; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am Saturday, November 5, 2022 in Old Storm Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Martris Mims officiating. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
