With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Mr. Willie "W.C." Calhoun who entered into rest July 18, 2025.

Mr. Calhoun, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Willow Spring Baptist Church. He retired as driver for the Town of Edgefield after 26 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia Calhoun of the home; a daughter, Barbara (Willie) Wilson of Greenwood, SC; one sister, Ella Mae Calhoun of Edgefield, SC; one brother, Jacob Calhoun of Edgefield, SC; chosen children, Shirley (George) Abney, William Miller, Bertha Miller, James Miller all of Edgefield, SC and Xavier Jackson of Greenville, SC; sisters-in-law, Betty (Charles) Richardson and Geneva (Warren) Chinn of Edgefield, SC; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; special friends, Jake Bussey and Bernard (Debra) Bussey; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, July 24, 2025 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel with the Rev., Dr. Jasper Lloyd, Sr. officiating. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
