IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Willie James
Drummings
February 27, 1949 – December 5, 2021
It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Willie James Drummings who entered into rest December 5, 2021 at his home.
James "Da Wolf" as he was affectionately known was born to the late Alex Drummings and the late Mary E. Drummings Mathis (Wade) on February 27, 1949.
He joined the Shaws Creek Baptist Church at an early age and continued his membership at Shaws Creek.
James was renowned for his dashing good looks, his excellent cooking skills, his hat wardrobe, and the dancing that always got everyone smiling. He played as hard as he worked and loved harder than anything else. His laughter made people laugh; his personality made people fall in love. Time spent with family was the most important priority for James. From his mother, siblings, cousins, and friends, he always found time to make you feel special enough to receive some attention. His style and confidence made all the ladies look and all the men want to shake his hand. He was a happy person that always had that million dollar smile. He will truly be missed by many.
He was a 1967 graduate of W. E. Parker High School. He also attended Trident Technical College where he graduated top of his class with an Auto Mechanics Certification, as well as, graduating the Alliance Trucking School top of his class.
He served his country proudly as an Air Force Serviceman where he served in Vietnam and the South Carolina Army National Guard with a total of almost 27 years. He worked and retired from General Electric (Summerville, SC) and Gates Rubber Company (Moncks Corner, SC.) He was a Union Rep and Crew Leader.
James was married to Juanita B. Drummings. To this union, two sons were born. He later was married to Terry Hart. To this union, a son and daughter were born. His final years were spent with his loving and devoted fiancee, Joeanne Waters (JW.)
Loved ones that will miss him until we meet again are four sons, Anthony Drummings, Jeremy (Victoria) Drummings, Sean Lambert, and Carlos Tucker; one daughter, Torienia Tucker; three stepdaughters, Kerri Moseley, Sherri Tucker, and Kristie Tucker; four adopted daughters, Pamela Bradley, Kimberly Darby, Alexis Tucker, and Crystal (Jeremy) Simmons; three sisters, Annie W.
