It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Willie Simpkins who entered into rest October 26, 2022 at Piedmont Augusta Hospital.

Mr. Simpkins was a native of Edgefield County and a member of Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He was the owner of Star Appliance in North Augusta, SC.

Survivors include two sons, John D. (Gerri) Simpkins and Michael (Alverneq) Simpkins; two daughters, Marilyn L. (Walter) Mathis and Metanna S. (Lindsey) Anderson; two sisters, Lelia Culbreath and Lillian Robinson; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Ebenezer Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Augusta with Pastor Ronald Wright officiating. Interment will be in Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Johnston, SC. Mask and social distancing will be observed. There will be NO PUBLIC VIEWING.
