It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Willie James Thomas, Sr. who entered into rest May 10, 2023.

Mr. Thomas was a native of Aiken County and was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard.

Survivors include his wife, Lavern Thomas of the home; a daughter, Glorious Thomas of North Carolina; two sons, Willie J. Thomas, Jr. of Aiken, SC and Kelton L. Perry of Columbia, SC; a sister, Dorothy Thomas of Aiken, SC; a brother, Dennis J. Thomas of Savannah, GA; 11 grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Jesus Christ Tabernacle. Interment will follow at Pine Lawn Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
