With heavy hearts, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Ms. Wilma M. East who entered into rest January 31, 2026.

Ms. East, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Republican Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Mattie Holloway of Edgefield, SC; three sisters, Lorraine Holloway, Jacqueline Culbreath both of Edgefield, SC and Sonji Lacy of Columbia, SC; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 6, 2026 at Republican Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie Patten, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
