Allen Gilyard Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Allen R. Gilyard who entered into rest October 17, 2021 at Doctors Hospital.

Mr. Gilyard attended the McCormick County School System and worked for Reeves Construction Company. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Jasmine Sholonda Mealing and Zykeria Alexis Randesia Gilyard; his parents, Bruce (Annette) Houston and Nettie Gilyard Marshall; a sister, LaTosha Cartledge, three brothers, Jeffery M. Marshall, Johnathan L. (Rebecca) Marshall and Bruce A. (Sharon) Martin; stepbrothers, Johnathan Carson and Jerel Carson; a devoted friend, Angela Calhoun; a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 12 pm Saturday, October 23, 2021 in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Russell Brisco officiating. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-6 pm Friday at the funeral home.
