Bessie Lee Tucker

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Bessie L. Tucker who entered into rest August 5, 2022 at Edgefield Post Acute.

Mrs. Tucker, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Science Hill Baptist Church where she sang in the Senior Choir.

Survivors include four daughters, Willie Eva Goodwin of Augusta, GA, Mary Lou (Rufus) Hillary of Edgefield, SC, Viola (Dea. John) Tanks of Trenton, SC, and Ruby Ann Jackson of Augusta, GA; one son, Robert (Shirley) Tucker, Jr. of Trenton, SC; two brothers, Eddie Butler of Edgefield, SC and Jessie Butler of Daytona, FL; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Science Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Lorenzo Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Science Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
