It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Calvin Collier, Sr., who entered into rest January 15, 2023.
Mr. Collier, a native of Edgefield County was a 1970 graduate of W. E. Parker High School and a member of Old Piney Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Leola Priester Collier; four sons, Calvin Collier, Jr., Monty T. (Shemeka) Collier, Cameron S. (Angela) Collier and Skyer S. Collier; mother of his sons, Ruby J. Gilliam; chosen children, Amanda Green, Jorene Jones and Keiron Jones; a brother, Roosevelt (Thelma) Collier; four sisters, Dorothy (Rev. Carsevelt) Lanham, Geneva Collier, Mattie Callahan and Thelma Clinton; mother in law, Ella P. Priester; fifteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 12 pm Tuesday, January 24, 2023 in Old Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Louis T. Coley officiating. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Monday at the funeral home.
Professional services are under the care of G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary, North Augusta.
