Calvin Victor Settles

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Calvin V. Settles who entered into rest July 5, 2021.

In 1978 Calvin graduated from Woodward High School, Cincinnati, Ohio, and the University of South Carolina, Spartanburg, with a Bachelor Degree in Behavior Sciences in 1990. He was an Insurance Inspector and a member of Second Providence Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Chandler Gaines, Cali Settles and Joyner Settles; a son, Skyler Williams; his parents, Thomas J. Settles and Minnie Scott Settles; two sisters, Yvonne (Ronald) Johnson and Carol (Fredrick) Harris; sister-in-law, Carita Settles; two grandchildren, Crimson Sellers and Ocean Gaines; a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 12 pm Saturday, July 10, 2021 in Second Providence Memorial Garden with the Rev. Dr. Albert M. James officiating. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
