It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Carlos R. Brooks who entered into rest April 18, 2023.
Mr. Brooks was native of Aiken County. He worked for the City of Aiken.
Survivors include his wife, Rhea McDowell Brooks; one son, Christopher (Casey) Upson; two stepsons, Emmanuel Wade and Daniel Z. Bey; three grandchildren; three brothers, Irving (Lydia) Brooks, Jr., Darryl L. Brooks, and Anthony P. Brooks; three sisters, Patricia A. (Anthony) Fisher, Anitrese M. Sadio, and Inez Reilly; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, many other relatives and close friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 23, 2023 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel. The service will be live-streamed via the G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Facebook Page.
