It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Ms. Courtney N. Abney who entered into eternal rest Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Aiken Regional Medical Center.
At an early age, she joined Jeter Baptist Church. She attended W. E. Parker Elementary School, J.E.T Middle School and was a 2011 graduate of Strom Thurmond High School.
She was employed at Wal Mart for seven years.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Ashley Abney
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, George and Shirley Abney; one brother, Scottie (Teneshia) Etheredge; one niece, Janiya Abney; three nephews, Jadon, Jaquese, and Javion Abney; a Special Friend, Venson Dunbar; grandparents, Willie and Georgia Calhoun; two god-brothers, Robert Coleman and Robert (Evelyn) Mitchell; two great-aunts, Betty (Charles) Richardson and Geneva (Warren) Chinn; her best friends, Sabree Still, Nikki Gordon, Junicia Lee, Veleka Johnson, Kendrick Mitchell; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Jeter Baptist Church. Mask and Social Distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
