Dea. Eddie L. Hardy

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announced the transition of Deacon Eddie L. Hardy who entered into rest October 1, 2023.

Deacon Hardy, a native of Edgefield County was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Ministry, Senior Citizens Ministry, Van Ministry and the Pastor's Banquet Ministry. He worked in Logistic Services for President Baking Company formerly Murray Biscuit Company.

Survivors include his wife, Jessie Phillips Hardy; a son, Jason E. (Catherine) Hardy; two daughters, Dr. Wolanda P. Hardy and Jennifer Hardy; two brothers, Amos (Josie) Hardy, Sr. and Rev. Isaiah Hardy; two sisters, Minnie Hawkins and Esteen Mabry; sister-in-law, Sallie Anfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 pm Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Augusta, GA. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held Monday, October 9, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
