Elizabeth Barton Obituary
It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Elizabeth Oakman Barton who entered into rest June 1, 2021 at Prisma Health Baptist Parkridge.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris (Alan) Watt of New Bedford, MA and Viola Alford of Irmo, SC; two sons, Wilbert (Charlotte) Barton of Brooklyn, NY and Nasir Muhammad (Shawn) Muhammad of Charlotte, NC; four sisters, Geneva Torain and Margaret Scott both of Brooklyn, NY, Minnie Jones and Samelle Beckles both of Aiken, SC; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 11, 2021 at Southlawn Cemetery and Mausoleum. Mask and Social Distancing will be observed. The service will be live-streamed via the G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Facebook Page. Viewing will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
