Elroy Richardson Maloyd, Sr.

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Elroy R. Maloyd, Sr. who entered into rest Friday, June 4, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Maloyd was a graduate of Hephzibah High School and was employed by FPL Foods, LLC. He was a member of New Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Kenesha Maloyd; two sons, Elroy R. Maloyd, Jr., and Pfc. Devonte Luke; mother of his children, Kenya Luke Maloyd; six sisters, Martha Maloyd, Alberta Maloyd, Bertha Mae Maloyd, Elaine Jiles, Leslie (John) Scurry and Patricia Shy; two brothers, Harry (Ola Mae) Maloyd, Jr., and Randolph Maloyd;and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am Sunday, June 13, 2021 in Walker Memorial Park with the Rev. Annie Mae Whitehead officiating. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2- 5:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
