Erica Lynn (Hampton) Staley

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Erica Lynn Hampton Staley  who entered into rest October 20, 2023.

Mrs. Staley was a 1989 graduate of North Augusta High School and attended Phoenix and Troy Universities. She was employed by Fairview Presbyterian Church Daycare. She was a member of North Augusta Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Bishop Vashion Staley; two sons, Brandon R. Hampton, Sr. (Lameisha Jackson) and Cameron A. Hampton (Jernani Walls-Porter); her father, Willie Joe Hampton; brothers, Chauncey Hampton, George Nelson (Tiaa) and Lamont Carrie; sisters, Tonya Grubbs (Wallace) and Fallyn Hampton; grandchildren, Brooklynn, Aamir and Brandon Hampton, Jr.; father-in-law, James Staley; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday, October 27, 2023 at Old Storm Branch Baptist Church of which the Rev. Martris Mims pastor and the Rev. Aaron Staley eulogist. Interment will follow in Walker Memorial Park. Viewing will be held from 2 pm until 5:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
