It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announced the transition of Mr. Ernest Blocker who entered into rest May 22, 2023.
Mr. Blocker was a 1973 graduate of Aiken High School. He was a Heating and Air Condition Repairman and a member of Springfield Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah A. Wright Blocker; his mother, Nancy Griffin Blocker, a daughter, Selena Knight; seven sons, Tracey L (Sandra) Blocker, Ernest M. (Belinda) Blocker, Jr., William A. (Melinda) Blocker, Robert E. (Crystal) Knight, Eric (Ami) Lewis, Emanuel (Tymisha) Lewis and Jamicael M. Wright; three sisters, Annie Pearl (Ben) McKenzie, Eliza (Oscar) Drummings and Miriam (Talmadge) Pope; four brothers, Andrew (Lena) Blocker, James Edward (Stephanie) Blocker, John Henry Blocker and Thomas (Cheryl) Blocker; mother-in-law, Bertha F. Williams, father-in-law, Rev. Charlie Wright; eighteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, May 27, 2023 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary with Elder James A. Finley officiating. Masks are required. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
