It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Henry J. Griffin, Jr. who entered into rest September 26, 2021 at University Hospital.
Mr. Griffin, a native of McCormick County, was a member of Laura Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Male Chorus and Usher's Ministry. He was a 1962 graduate of McCormick High School and a retiree of the Long Island Railroad.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Broadwater Griffin; six daughters, Sandra Elaine Griffin, Marion Colter, Deborah (El God) Jackson, Evelyn Griffin, Beverly Griffin, and Sylvia Ann Griffin; his mother, Eva Lou Brisco Griffin; a brother, Derek (Teresa) Griffin; a sister, Cynthia (General) Griffin-Arnette; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Laura Grove Memorial Gardens with the Rev. A. J. Saunders officiating. Mask and Social Distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
