Ira Washington

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Ms. Ira Washington who entered into rest September 24, 2022.

Ms. Washington was a native of Aiken County and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mattie Tillman (Michael A. Martin); four sons, Frank (Kasey) Berry, Ocee Tyrece Washington, Victor Washington and Curtis Washington; two brothers, John (Linda) Tillman and Joseph Tillman; twenty-two grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday, September 28, 2022 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Edgefield of which the Rev. Leonard Franklin, Jr., pastor and the emeritus Rev. Edward Lloyd officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm at the funeral home.
