It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. James Mackey who entered into rest Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Mackey was a member of Hazel Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Willie E. Walker, Sr.; stepbrothers, Felix (Carrie) Shepard and Sammie Lee (Sandra) Shepard; stepsisters, Diane Moore, Brenda (Nikki) Smart and Linda (Solomon) Baker; uncles, Badgre (Lorriane) Starks and Milledge (Lillie Mae) Starks, Jr.; aunts, Gertrude Starks, Gussie (Isiah) Walker and Eloise Evans; a devoted cousin, Helen (James) Morton; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm Saturday, May 15, 2021 in Walker Memorial Park with the Rev. Benjamin Ryans officiating. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
