James Mealing Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce transition of Mr. James Mealing who entered into rest September 17, 2022.

Mr. Mealing was a native of Edgefield County and attended Bettis Academy.  He was baptized at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He was World War II Army Veteran.

Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Georgia Simpkins, Martha Williams, Henrietta Ronchi, Katherine Simpkins, Josephine Carter, Irving (Yvonne) Simpkins, Shelia (John) Mabry, Michael Simpkins, Jerome Simpkins, Stephanie Simpkins, Allen Simpkins, Deborah Smith, and Sandra Mealing; a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Old Macedonia Baptist Church where the Rev., Dr. Leonard O. Griffin is the pastor and the Rev. G. L. Brightharp eulogist. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.
