It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Joan Palmore Farver who entered into rest November 27, 2022.
Mrs. Farver, a native of Orange, New Jersey, was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was an educator, having taught in Lynchburg, VA, North Little Rock, AR, and retired from Our Lady of Peace Catholic School in North Augusta, SC.
Survivors include two nieces, Dianne Dunton Murphy of Augusta, GA and Janet Byrd Harrison of Aiken, SC; three great-nephews, LaRon (Theresa) Palmore, William Quincy Murphy, III both of Augusta, GA, and Charles Fitzgerald Harrison of Kinshasa, DRC; three great-nieces, Chanda (Richard) Byrd Barr of Elgin, SC, Jennifer (Tavarus) Murphy-Morgan of Atlanta, GA, and Talore Danielle Harrison of Laurel, MD; three great-great-nephews, LaRon (Tanisha) Palmore, Jr., Jace Morgan, and Jaxson Morgan; one great-great-niece, Havalyn Dorn; a devoted caregiver, LaShanda Washington; special friends, Doris Dunton and Gwendolyn Allen; a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev., Dr. Charles E. Goodman, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
