It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Kenneth Hawkins.
Mr. Hawkins, the eighth child born to proud parents the late Willie Lee, Sr. and Alice Mazanna Jackson Hawkins, transitioned this mortal life to be with our heavenly Father on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at his residence.
Kenny, as he was lovingly called, was born October 1, 1966 in Aiken County, SC and was a member of the South Aiken High School graduating class of 1984. He was a recreation coach who inspired up and coming athletes in Aiken County.
His love for God was expressed at an early age when he accepted Christ as his Savior, was baptized and became a member of Mount Transfiguration Baptist Church.
He leaves to adore his memory, his daughter, Ces-Leigh Hawkins; his son, Richard (Brianna) Bush; four sisters, Rachel (Hazel) Hammond, Jeanette Hayes, Christine Barnwell, and Rubena (Rev., Dr. Jesse) Williams; three brothers, Willie Lee Hawkins, Jr., Bernard Hawkins, and Clinton Hawkins; four aunts, Iola Abney, Annie Lou Hawkins, Mary Hawkins, and Minister Patricia Jackson; one uncle, Rev. Herman Jackson; four grandchildren, Kenneth D. Hawkins, Kamari Hawkins, Roman Bush, and Raegan Bush; a loving, faithful fiancee, Sherry Curtis who was by his side for 15 years; a dear friend, Braylen Dobey; a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends whom he loved dearly.
