It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Lillie Mae Thomas who entered into eternal rest Wednesday, March 3, 2021.
Mrs. Thomas, a native of Edgefield County attended Bettis Academy. She obtained a Culinary and CNA degree. She was a member of Jeter Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Barbara (Alfonzo) Peterson, Marla (Kevin) Cunningham, Carla Hill and Althea (Antjuan) Love; five sons, Jeffery (Aileen) Thomas, James Thomas, Keith Thomas, Freddie (Tawanna) Thomas and Mack (Venita) Thomas; two sisters, Fannie (Andrew) Simpkins and Bertha Cain; three brothers, S.M. Tillman, B.R. (Mary) Tillman and Bennie (Katie) Tillman; three sisters-in-law, Ellen Mealing, Daisy Tillman and June Tillman; a special caregiver, Sherry Glover; 27 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be held 1:30 pm Sunday, March 7, 2021 in Jeter Baptist Church Cemetery of which the Rev. James E. Thomas pastor and the Rev. G. L. Brightharp eulogist. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-6 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
