It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Lindsey Wright who entered into rest Thursday, July 22, 2021.
Mr. Wright was a 1963 graduate of Jefferson High School. He retired as a First Line Manager from the Savannah River Site. He was a United States Army Veteran, retiring from the Army Reserve 319 Transportation Unit.
He was a member of St. Phillip Baptist Church where he sang on the Male Chorus.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Lee Sapp Wright; a son, Alfie Antonio (Parri) Wright; two daughters, Leslie LaShawn (Johnny) Dobey and Tina Renee Shaw; six brothers, Willie Lee Wright, Alonzo (Shirley) Wright, Roosevelt (Overseer Melinda) Wright, David (Maxine) Wright, Andrew Wright, and Fabian (Min. Janie) Wright; a sister, Mary (Johnnie) Sims; grandchildren, Justin and Jairus Wright, Courtney, Darius, Desiree, and Demarcus Wright, Vincent and Ariel Shaw; great-grandchildren, Saniya Wright and Jayden Shaw; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at St. Phillip Baptist Church with the Rev. Eric Butler officiating. Mask and Social Distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Professional Services are under the care of G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary-North Augusta.
