Mable Lewis Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Mable A. Lewis who entered into rest December 30, 2021.

Mable was a native of Barnwell County.  She was a 1946 graduate of Dunbarton High School in Dunbarton, South Carolina. She was a member of Indian Grove Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Usher, Deaconess, Mother of the Church and choir member.

Mabel is survived by her daughters, Mildred L. Coleman and Doris Lewis; brother, Ashel (Vertell) Tutt; sisters -in-law, Reatha Lewis and Sable Lewis; brother-in-law, Rev. Paul Lewis.; granddaughter, Yolanda C. (Anthony) Hill; Great-grandchildren, Anthonio Hill, Tiatra Hill, Dallon Hill, Williams Hill, Andrew Hill and Willie Hill, IV; goddaughter, Denise Danforth Hill; and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in Indian Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Anthony Wilson officiating. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30pm Monday at the funeral home.
