Mary Brighthop Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Mary Brighthop who entered into rest December 24, 2021.

Mrs. Brighthop was a native of Saluda County a member of Willow Spring Baptist Church. She was a Seamstress.

Survivors include two sons, Leon Brighthop and Dennis Brighthop; three daughters, Denise Cobbs, Janice (Kelvin) Oliphant and Jeanette Brighthop; two brothers, Theodore Coats and James Coats; four sisters, Sara Coats, Cora Lee Coats, Deloris Talbert, Earnestine (Sandy) Dennis and Alberta Graham; 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am Thursday, December 30, 2021 in Mt. Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. G. L. Brightharp officiating. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
