Mattie Williams Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Mattie Mae Williams who entered into rest October 6, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Williams, a native of Edgefield County was a retired teacher. She was a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Charlie Williams, Ernest Williams, Ronald Williams and Irving Williams; a daughter, Barbara (Alfonzo) Peterson; a daughter-in-law, Louise Williams; two godchildren, Brandon Williams and Carolynne Johnson; sisters-in-law, Addie Williams and Alice Williams; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church with the Rev. G. L. Brightharp officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-5 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
